Jerone is the brother of Jeremy and a prisoner in Yew during the events of Ultima V.
Description[edit]
Jerone spoke of how he'd been thrown into jail because of heresy. He had dared to say that Lord British is still alive, after seeing him in an apparition over his campfire during the night. Now he could only wait for his brother Jeremy to pay the fine of 500 gold coins. He'd tried escaping as his brother gave him lockpicks, but he'd gotten caught each time.[1]
Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]
This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.
In Ultima V: Lazarus, Jerone tells of how he received a grievous wound while fighting a group of orcs in the Deep Forest, and as he sat around his campfire in the evening, he's seen an apparition of Lord British which healed his wounds. When he was telling this story in The Slaughtered Lamb, which he visited twice a year to see his brother, he was arrested for treason when his tale was overheard. Jerone lamented that the worst part of his imprisonment was being unable to experience nature like he did as a free man.[2]
Jerone's brother Jeremy had on several occasions given the prisoner lockpicks,[3] but Jerone had been unable to escape the dungeons of Yew. The Avatar could choose to pay 500 gp to Judge Dryden to ensure the release of the man.[4]
