Hans is the keeper of the lighthouse near Britain during Ultima IX.
Description[edit]
When meeting him, Hans tells the Avatar of how Lord British had erected four lighthouses, but were no longer functional. The light crystals for three of them had been lost during shipment, and Hans fears they would never reach their destinations. He asks the Avatar to find them, have them polished in Britain, and then install them in the appropriate lighthouses.[1]
The Avatar accepts the job, and after all the the crystals had been properly installed, Hans gave a reward – 100 gold coins.
Trivia[edit]
- In the Dialogue Patch for Ultima IX, Hans explains that the lighthouse near Britain magically replaced the Royal Mint in Ultima VII Part Two, and Lord British commissioned the other three based on this one's technology.
- Hans has a sextant in his lighthouse, which can be taken without penalty.
