Gregory is the heavily scarred keeper of the lighthouse of Waveguide during the events of Ultima V.
Description[edit]
The Avatar found him living together with his wife Jacqueline living in Waveguide. Gregory was very rude and only wanted the Avatar out of the lighthouse, constantly spewing profanity at the hero.[1]

Driven by his desire to cure his sick wife Jacqueline’s dementia, Gregory had turned to human experimentation to seek a cure for his wife's mental deterioration. Lord Dalgrin had been only too happy to provide the necessary human cargo to fulfill Gregory's needs, including Enlor’s apprentice Alfred, who had been in Buccaneer's Den searching for a certain tome by the wizard Ignap.[2][3] Gregory had recorded the history of Alfred's incarceration, dealings with Jacqueline, and ultimately his failure to cure his wife despite Alfred's death.
When the Avatar met Gregory, the lighthouse keeper was cruel and abusive, merely insulting the hero and saying little else, hoping the hero blinded himself on Waveguide's bright light. Should the hero discover Gregory's journal, the cruel man would demand the journal's return, immediately attacking the hero if the Avatar refused.[4]
