Gord is the jailer in Yew in Ultima V: Lazarus.
Gord was the massive but simple-minded jailer who ruled over the prisons in Yew. Originally employed at the Poor House in Minoc, where he was well respected by the townspeople there, he was discovered by Blackthorn and convinced to join his Black Company and taught to use a sword. Later, Blackthorn suggested Gord could do more good as a jailer, and employed him in that profession. A naturally kind man, he wished no harm upon his prisoners and believed them to be lost souls, but still at the behest of Judge Dryden would forcibly quiet them should they become too rowdy.[1]
Gord was genuinely terrified of the The Inquisitor, but spoke highly of Lady Guinere, saying the lady must be magical for she would frequently come to his room in the middle of the night and show him most incredible magic, suggesting a sexual relationship between the characters.
