Fyodor is a weaver in Britain in Ultima VI.

Description[edit]

Fyodor was an effeminate weaver who sold cloth and thread. He worked upon a large loom which had recently been created from a design found in one of Lord British's many old books. The weaver was keen to show the Avatar how his new loom operated, and how the many levers and pedals could create a variety of textures as he worked. Fyodor seemed to share his liege's keen interest in books, and he informed the Avatar that Lord British was offering a reward for a copy of The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.[1]

When later asked by the Avatar if he could weave a silk bag for the hot air balloon, he admitted his skills were inadequate, but that Charlotte of New Magincia might be able to do the job.

Fyodor would purchase wool for 8gp a bundle.

The Ultima 6 Project[edit]

This is an Ultima 6 Project-related NPC article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima VI or other Ultima games.

In The Ultima 6 Project, Fyodor told the Avatar he always imagined the hero dressed in robes because of a picture he'd once seen in the Lycaeum. He suggested the Avatar seek out Marissa in New Magincia for fine clothes or Lenard in Yew for simpler fare. The weaver advised the hero to seek out Lenard or Justin in Cove if in need of a tabard.

Fyodor was willing to purchase fly agaric, cortinarius sanguineus, and stropharia aeruginosa mushrooms for making dye for his cloth, warning the hero they were all quite poisonous.
