Corpsers are vicious monsters that travel underground.
Description[edit]
No one has ever seen these creatures, apart from the tentacle that suddenly shoots out of the ground to pull the victim under the earth, where it is killed and eaten. The corpser relies on stealth to reach its victim. But once detected, the normal adventurer should have little problem with destroying this abomination. Fire is said to be especially powerful against them.
They can be found in caves and dungeons with soft soil.
Corpsers appeared in Ultima V, Ultima VI, Ultima VII and Ultima VII Part Two. Their stalking technique remained the same throughout.

Before we can draw our weapons, a great leathery tentacle as thick as a man's leg coils around Arionis then starts dragging him into its underground lair.
