Bragit is a human outcast living on the first level of the Abyss during the time of Ultima Underworld. He is the first person the Avatar meets upon entering the Abyss. He is also one of the more cooperative characters to be found in this dungeon and gives modest comfort to the newly condemned Champion of Virtues as well as advice on surviving the ordeals of the Abyss.
Description[edit]
The hero found Bragit trying to find salvageable items where Baron Almric's guards had battled the goblins. Bragit told the Avatar not to be ashamed of being thrown into the Abyss, as this was the fate of them all, and offered good advice for enduring the predicament. He explained that bartering was common in the Abyss and that the mountain-folk dwelled on the level below, while their level suffered under the feud between the green and grey goblins. Bragit also told how he used a pole to escape from the prison of the gray goblins.
He told the Avatar to seek out the other outcasts of the level, describing the way and the significance of the Ankh-banner which shows safe zones. He was later rescued by Garamon, when the volcano erupted.
Lore[edit]
“ | This is where you might find Bragit, one of the Abyss’s outcasts. For no reason I can discern, he actually cares about the welfare of those trapped within the labyrinth, and is a source of knowledge on how one may survive an extended stay here. He also knows escape routes out of the pathetic prison the gray goblins maintain. |
