Batista is a sorceress living in Moonglow in Ultima IX.
Description[edit]
Batista told the Avatar that she and Mariah were good friends, and that she was willing to release the mantra and Sigil of Honesty to the hero in exchange for the Mage Shield, which was in Mariah's possession.[1]
However, Mariah told the Avatar that Batista was not one of her friends and was a liar. Nonetheless, she knew that the Avatar needed the Sigil and allowed the shield to be taken. However, even when confronted with her lies, Batista had enough leverage to get the shield before releasing the Sigil.
