Axsimurart is the Gargoyle Avatar in the Realm of the Gargoyles in The Ultima 6 Project.
Description[edit]
A powerful Gargoyle with the symbol of the Codex tattooed upon his chest, the Avatar first met Axsimurart while freeing the Temple of Virtue. He tried to kidnap the Avatar again, after the battle had gone bad for the Gargoyles, but was forced to retreat when human reinforcements broke open the temple doors.
Later meeting the Gargoyle in his own realm, where he was busy with assisting Lord Draxinusom in the government center, Axsimurart explained that he had become the true Avatar by mastering the Gargoyle Virtues, and despite the hero donning the Amulet of Submission, still felt his human counterpart evil and should be destroyed. He hoped to save his people from the cataclysm wrought by the human's theft of the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom, by slaying the False Prophet, and was disgusted by the hero's inability to return the Codex to his race.
After the Codex was returned to the void, he tried to kill the Avatar for this act, no longer wanting to wait for the right time for the sacrifice. However, the Amulet of Submission actually protected the Avatar - who had actually stopped the prophecy and thus had proven to not be an enemy of the Gargoyles. Axsimurart was confused by this turn of events and stayed back to witness the events that followed and led to peace.
Trivia[edit]
- Axsimurart replaces several unnamed wingless Gargoyles that accompany Draxinusom in the original outro of Ultima VI.
