Conversation[edit]
Guildmaster Mariah: "You've done well Stranger! I've been busy while you've been away. Our books on banishing daemons are strangely missing... but there is a Druid who is said to know the Stygian Arts."
You: "Who is this Druid?" (Advance Quest)
Guildmaster Mariah: "Her name is Kama and she resides within the caves of Mount Greatcrag. Last I heard that is. Let's hope she's still there."
You: "On my way."
...
[Flowers and grass sprout in abundance around Kama's corpse. A feeling of inner peace washes over you while standing in the druid's resting place.]
You: [Report back to Mariah on Kama's fate.] (Advance Quest)
...
Guildmaster Mariah: "Druid Kama is dead?! Missing I could believe, but dead! These times are darker than I feared. Mentorian may be our last hope."
You: "Who?"
Guildmaster Mariah: "Mentorian is a mage that lives in Cove. He's... a little strange since that magical accident, but his memory is still good. It had better be, he's the last I can think of who knows the Stygian Arts."
You: "I'll speak to him." (Advance Quest)
...
Mentorian: "Time will come, Stranger, when all shall hail thee as Avatar. That time is not now,f or you still have much questing adhead. How can this humble Mage bring thee closer to infinity?"
You: "Do you know how to banish daemons?" (Advance Quest)
Mentorian: "I do, however, ye have not proven thyself worthy of this knowledge. The lizardmen of Poisonwood capture our town's inhabitants and thou asks about daemons? Free our people thou will, then I will talk."
(You have three choices:)
- "I will see to their freedom." (+Honour)
- "The lizardman will pay." (+Justice)
- "I'll try not to let you down." (+Humility)
