Tlapatla is the wife of Huitlapacti, the usurper-king of the Nahuatla Tribe on Eodon.

Description[edit]

The Avatar found her in the Nahuatla palace during the adventure on Eodon, and she readily allowed the hero to speak to her, unlike Huitlapacti. Tlapatla turned out to not be a bloodthirsty tyrant like her husband, but instead her unfortunate marriage to Huitlapacti was the result of a political union. Tlapacti disliked being queen of the Nahuatla, saying the role was boring for she was allowed no responsibility. She was pleased when her cousin Moctapotl was restored, finally being freed of her tyrannical husband, and once again permitted to run the affairs of the royal household as the princess of the Nahuatla.[1]

Tlapatla feared the Avatar storming into her chambers, and while still queen would set the guards upon him if the hero claimed to mean her harm. The queen feared Dr. Spector, wishing he had never made Huitlapacti king, and continued to distrust him even after the doctor's sanity was restored.

Lore[edit]

Huitlapacti's queen is named Tlapatla. She's an easily-bored but kindly woman who has an unerring talent for winding up on the correct side of any political upheaval.
