Codes for Roofus's Text[edit]

Out of curiosity, I'd like to know what codes were used for Roofus's text when he calls the player a "wise ass". Notable Ultima has some mojibake for that word, suggesting that it was assumed to all be 7-bit ASCII and for the most part is was, but Origin used a special code for those letters, but the '&' and '#' that are there are ASCII.--The Ultra-Mind (talk) 14:30, 6 November 2021 (MDT)

I'm not sure, I understand correctly what you want to know, but from U6 and U7 I can tell, that uncomon characters such as "_" or "#" were (ab)used to display other signs like Ankh and the lot. Origin just redraw the initial characters in their FONTS files. Alas, I'd suspect they did the same with '&' (or rather '@') and '#' to display the word in question. As to why is a bit beyond me....getting pass QA is the first thing I can think of ;-) --SirJohn (talk) 01:16, 12 November 2021 (MST)

With 26 23 23 specifically being for &##. -- Fenyx4 21:56, 16 November 2021 (MST)
