Marek works the seas, living in Trinsic in Ultima IX.

When talking to the Avatar, the fisherman showed himself to be a prideful and corrupt man. He was unable to produce large catches of fish like his fellow fisherman, Umberto, because he was unwilling to wake up early in the mornings. He boasted how he still always had a huge catch by stealing half of the catch of Umberto, bullying the man into enduring the theft. He only stopped when the political climate in Trinsic changed.
