The library ghost is one of the six restless undead bound to Skullcrusher in Ultima VII Part Two due to the Imbalance.

Description

The woman was hinted to have been a librarian in life, and like the other inhabitants of Skullcrusher were murdered when Order troops massacred the populace of the city. Unlike the other ghosts, who were bound to give help only indirectly, she was unable to speak – perhaps due to her vast knowledge – but when approached by the Avatar in the library of Skullcrusher bent the rules enough to drop a book with a hint. The book spoke about penguins and proved crucial to recovering the Magebane from Penguin Island.

It was only with the Avatar restoring Balance, that she did finally find peace.
