Garg is a Tarnan troll imprisoned by the ruling goblin empire in an unnamed outpost. He appears in Ultima Underworld II

Description[edit]

Garg's people had been simple herdsmen in the days before the coming of the Guardian, but had found themselves victims of invasion and pestilence once the Red Titan rallied together the goblin people against the races of trolls and men. Garg had attempted to rally his people to meet the goblin threat with violence, but his followers were eventually slaughtered and he was taken prisoner as an agitator.

Should the Avatar manage to free him from his captivity, Garg would take it upon himself to claim the Prison Tower as his new domicile, and would mercilessly slaughter the goblins who had been his captors. In the aftermath of this massacre, Garg would become the lone inhabitant of the tower, and the Avatar could visit him there for unarmed sparring matches and the occasional letter from Bishop.[1]

Lore[edit]

The northern room of this level is a firmly locked cell. I have been unable to determine what manner of being is inside, but it is obviously someone the goblins fear deeply.

Trivia[edit]

  • He becomes trainer in Unarmed skill once freed, second after Syria.
  • The yellow pixels in his portraits clearly were meant to be orange. Most likely, a palette problem caused this unintentional effect. The error was fixed for the portrait on this page.
