Dermot is the undertaker of Britain in Ultima IX.
Description[edit]
The Avatar found him in the cemetery, complaining that the dead were not appreciating his work. He explained to the hero that those who died unnaturally had an uneasy last rest and tended to haunt the cemetery, making it necessary for him to use rituals to pacify him. Due to the corruption in the city, however, he was disdainful of his responsibilities. Only after the Shrine of Compassion was restored, did he see his error of his attitude.[1]
However, thanks to the long neglect of his duty, some time later a full-blown undead uprising had happened, and the Avatar had to kill a number of malevolent skeletons.
