Appearances
Ultima VII Part Two
Location: Northern Encampment

Beryl is one of the settlers to settle the Northern Forest of Serpent Isle. But after the murder of the other colonists, especially her husband, she became Draygan's personal slave. She appears in Ultima VII Part Two

Description[edit]

When the Avatar met her, she had suffered severely under her slavery to Draygan and - after being sure no one would hear them - readily told the Avatar of the events that transpired in the failed Northern Encampment. She was desperate to escape her slavery and told them that she knew of the Forest Master, and that the only way to stop Draygan would be with an arrow treated with the extract from the plant King's Saviour. The Avatar followed her advice to incapacitate and kill Draygan.

Beryl, finally free, chose to dwell with the Forest Master rather than return to civilization. Morghrim readily accepted her and took her into his home. This decision saved her life, as she was far away from population centers, when the Banes of Chaos ran amok and murdered the population.

Trivia[edit]

  • Beryl will only talk with the Avatar if none of Draygan's men (or Draygan himself) are on the screen. This actually is more difficult than it sounds at first.
  • In order for her to get Morghrim's offer, the player has to talk to her while they are both on the same screen, The time window for that is very small, unless Draygan's corpse is dragged to her, so that Morghrim is still on the screen when talking to her.
