Andrea is a tavernkeeper in Yew in Ultima VI.
Description[edit]
The Avatar found Andrea to be a woman large in size and personality. She was also famous for besting a number of the men in arm wrestling at The Slaughtered Lamb, whom referred to her as 'Miss Barlap' as a form of respect. She would even challenge the hero to a hard fought arm wrestling competition. Andrea seemed to be smitten with Ben the lumberjack, and thought of Lenard the tailor as a girly man, even though she appreciated his skills. Andrea was also very attracted to Utomo the blacksmith, although he did not reciprocate, and was taken aback by her romantic advances. She had no kind words for the chancellor Lenora.[1]

In The Ultima 6 Project, Andrea would talk at length about all the inhabitants of Yew. She felt that Riona was a fine woman who would help anyone in need, and was upset about Lenora's treatment of Essian unless the young boy was released from prison. Andrea dismissed Lenard as a girly man, but did little to disguise her romantic interests towards Utomo. She was also smitten towards Big Ben and Strom the shipbuilder, both of whom were strong men. She remarked that Strom sometimes visited The Slaughtered Lamb with Essian when not working on a new ship design. Taliesin, she believed was a wise druid, and was pleased to see the man return to The Wise Oak upon his release. She remarked that Witton the farmer was a kind man and good customer, and will liked Ibbie and her daughter Jessa. Andrea joked that poor Sinjen who was locked in the stocks was always hanging around somewhere, and that the jailer Pridgarm was a kind man who made life tolerable to those he oversaw.
