Abiona is a ranger of Skara Brae in Ultima V: Lazarus.

Abiona told the hero her name meant "born on a journey", and that she served as a ranger of Skara Brae. Her job was to protect the citizens of the island, although, she assured the Avatar she would not demand taxes like the guardsmen of the mainland. With the archmage Flain's dramatic arrival, and the death of many of her number, only Heron, Hazael, and herself were left to guard the island, while her remaining compatriots hid within Spiritwood. Openly defiant of Blackthorn's rule, she scoffed at Blackthorn's Ethics.[1]

Skara Brae had once been a retreat from the rest of Britannia, according to Abiona, where citizens had come to meditate upon Spirituality, but this had changed with the arrival of Flain. The ranger felt the archmage was a murderer, and despised the Oppression, blaming them for the loss of her husband Enthusa who disappeared the night the townsfolk unsuccessfully tried to repel Blackthorn's invasion of the island. Determined to kill Flain herself if he ever stepped foot outside of his dark tower, she had been away the night of the battle, and had returned to find her friends in exile or deceased.

Abiona praised Hazael's prowess as a ranger, and felt he had proven himself admirably in his trials. She admired Heron's leadership, and directed the Avatar towards him for archery training. She openly despised Toama, who came to the island to sell reagents to Flain, and reveled in her lack of success in that endeavor.
