Stats
Stats is short for statistics, a term used since the earliest Ultima installments. Stats indicate the relative abilities of a character. Stats improve as the character gains levels. Equipment also improves stats.

Power[edit]
Power determines how much damage you do with each attack.
Vitality[edit]
Vitality determines your total health.
Luck[edit]
Luck determines the chance you will deal critical damage.
Defense[edit]
Defense determines how much damage you will take from enemy attacks. The higher your defense, the less damage you will take.
Physical Defense[edit]
Some gear also provides defense against physical damage, but does not offer protection against magical attacks. This number is added to your Defense stat against physical attacks.
Magic Defense[edit]
Some gear also provides mystical protection against magical attacks, but does not protect against physical damage. This number is added to your Defense stat against magic attacks.
