Tristia is a member of the Kurak Tribe, and the adopted daughter of the Kurak chief Aloron and adopted sister of Aiela in Savage Empire.
Description[edit]
The Avatar found Tristia to be selfish and self-absorbed, and she was mainly interested in looking for strong men and comparing herself to Aiela. She revealed that she was adopted by Aloron after her parents' hut burned down, killing both of them, but she seemed little concerned by this fact. When asked about Aiela, she was convinced that Aloron loved Aiela less than her, and Tristia seemed glad that Aiela was gone to the Urali Tribe, feeling Darden a fitting mate for her.[1]
Tristia will randomly ask the Avatar if he loves her, and will frequently try to convince him to become her mate. When the Avatar finally tells her that he is not interested, she will become enraged and slap him before fainting. She would then refuse to even talk the the hero if sufficiently spurned. However, should the Avatar be in love with Tristia, she will practically parade her affections in open displays. Additionally, Aiela will become extremely spiteful of the relationship, constantly putting down the hero and Tristia and even going as far as refusing to join the hero's party. [2]
Lore[edit]
“ | Another person of note is Tristia. She and Aiela, together, constitute a Stone Age beauty contest. Between them, I'd say that Tristia's the more earnest competitor, but Aiela wins Miss Congeniality hands down. Talk to Tristia about Aiela, about her foster father Aloron, and about burning things (her hobby, I think). I don't recommend that you get too personal with her. |

Trivia[edit]
- Chosing Tristia instead of Aiela of course shows her in the ending sequence. However, unlike Aiela, Tristia is not sad about the Avatar leaving, mocking the hero that she already has found a new love. Judging by facical expression, the hero does not take these news well.
- In the original 1.6 version, Tristia's dialogue is bugged so the player cannot declare his love for her and see the alternate ending. This was fixed in an obscure 2.1 version for an EA Compilation CD. In order to get the fix nowadays, Pix Ultima Patcher] has to be used.
