Trebor was a large, friendly, lumbering man who was more than happy to sell the Avatar a ship or a skiff.[1]
The Ultima 6 Project[edit]
This is an Ultima 6 Project-related NPC article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima VI or other Ultima games.
In The Ultima 6 Project, Trebor further elucidated upon his vessels, claiming his ships were amongst the strongest to sail the seas, and that his skiffs were equally seaworthy, but more designed for fisherman because they could handle the shallow Britannia rivers. Trebor hinted there was some secret that caused him to work as a shipwright instead of being out on the waves himself, but was unwilling to divulge the tale. Before freeing the shrines on the mainland, Trebor told the hero no vessels were available because they had been requisitioned by Lord British, but later on one might become available.
After freeing the mainland shrines, he again sold ships. However, he had no skiffs available – much to Dupre’s relief.
