Toshi is a bard found in Empath Abbey during the time of Ultima V.
Description[edit]
Toshi was a student at the Abbey during the Avatar’s visit, who was trying to learn more of the principle of Love, and how Love can exist with all the evil in Britannia. Toshi offered to join the Avatar on the quest against Blackthorn.[1]
Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

Toshi explains how he had previously travelled to the Lycaeum to learn about Truth, and to Serpent's Hold to learn about Courage, before finally travelling to Empath Abbey.[2] Upon meeting Julia at Empath Abbey, he constantly asks her for tales of her adventures with the Avatar during the Age of Enlightenment. If Julia should join the Avatar, he admits that he is relieved to see her gone, since her departure would remove a great deal of stress from Lord Michael, the head of the Abbey.[3]
Strategy[edit]
His low starting health points (30) gives him less endurance among other party members. On the other hand, he has one of the highest Dexterity values (21), which can be used advantageously with a ranged weapon. Finally, having a low starting level (1), he has maximal potential for growth.

- Toshi is named after Origin employee Toshi Morita, who worked on the Apple version of Ultima V.
- Toshi is voiced by Cody Ellsworth in the fan remake Ultima V: Lazarus.
