Terrance is the keeper of an apple orchard in Britain during the time of Ultima V.
Description[edit]
At first Terrance only spoke about his apple trees and how the Shadowlords caused them to whither with their mere presence. However, after some talking, Terrance accidentally revealed that he was a member of the Resistance. After the Avatar promised to stay silent about it, Terrance directed the hero to Yew, to speak with Chamfort about joining the Resistance.[1]
Telling Terrance's name to Chamfort was the key to entering the Resistance.
Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

In Ultima V: Lazarus, Terrance told the hero how he took great pride in tending the apple orchard, and that the simple life of a farmer suited him. He was proud that Lord British had enjoyed his succulent fruit. He told Avatar that he constantly had to defend his crops from thieving children, but it was a skill he excelled at due to his childhood indiscretions. When asked about the Shadowlords, he accidentally admitted having help from the Resistance. After being ensured he would not be sold out to the Resistance, he told the hero to seek out Chamfort in Minoc.[2]

In The Ultima 6 Project, a tombstone in Britain reads, "Terrance always worked his orchard. Never once made a confession, resisted being tortured and foiled the Oppression.".
