Tarna is a guard working in Tenebrae. She appears in Ultima VIII.

Tarna first met the Avatar shortly after the execution of Toran, when it fell to her to dismiss the hero from the execution site and ask questions as to strangers’ identities and intended business in Tenebrae. She could later be found in her house in the eastern quarter of the city, where she proved willing to answer the Avatar's questions about various Tenebraeans and the nature of the Titans. In particular, she would remark as to the folly of the Zealans, mentioning that the city had been built in the days when they and the Pagans still warred.[1]

- Due to the low-resolution sprites, it is a slow process to locate Tarna, after the initial encounter, as her appearance is nearly indistinguishable from the other guards. Even her gender is difficult to discern, which comes up very sparingly in conversation as well. Looking closer though, shows her figure is slender compared to male guards.
