"Lord" Wilfred?[edit]
Looking at the transcript, someone (I think Fred's brother) accidentally calls him "Lord Wilfred" then curses himself for that. He suggests that it was somehow appropriate to call him that before, but no longer. Does anyone know more about this? It sounds like the sort of thing that should go here. - I think in this case "Lord Wilfred" is meant sarcastically. Argus refers to how his brother used to be held to a higher standard than himself while growing up, and I think the nickname Lord might reflect that. Dungy 02:01, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
- According to these quotes of Argus it was definitely meant as sarcastically:
1) " That's where the 'Lord' Wilfred hies from... He acts like a swaggering noble, with all his self-important ambition."
2) "I became a Captain in Monitor, but that was not good enough for Wilfred. He had to be a knight... and a Bear at that. 'Tis sad to see the likes of him and his friends making a mockery of Monitor's ideals. Thou hast seen the changes, I'm sure... 'Tis sad to say, Avatar... Courage and Valor have become so debased that Knights like Wilfred are little more than braggarts and mercenaries! Where once the pinnacle of honor was a Monitorian knight, now people see them as vain bullies. It sickens me...
