I have to be honest. You went outright insane with that spoiler tag. In my mind, that function is pointless and only discourages people from reading when they have to do countless extra clicks.--Tribun (talk) 12:38, 13 April 2025 (MDT)

I created the spoiler boxes as a replacement for the template:spoiler and template:endspoiler. The issue I had with those was that they didn't prevent the reader from accidentally reading something they didn't want to, they still took up space on the page and had to be scrolled past, and the header was very generic and didn't say specifically what was being spoiled. I put the spoilers in an expand box to deal with the first two issues, and added a summary/title line with color coded categories for the third issue. I think further discussion of spoilerboxes should happen here: Category talk:Spoiler templates.
I use the spoiler boxes to separate the basic facts from the additional details. For example on this page the basic facts are that the cup was carved in Skara Brae, became one of Cabirus's talismans, and was destroyed by the end of the game. That's it. Anything else (like how to get it and what to do with it, and even the visions of it) are in-game events, those belong on a walkthrough page. Unfortunately the only walkthrough on this wiki is very terse and I don't like to link to it, so I created the quest section with hints about what to do. That's my happy medium between providing no information at all and linking to a walkthrough that spoils way too much way too fast.
As far as being coutless clicks, it isn't nested or anything, it's literally only one click to see the information the reader wants to see. I don't see it being that different from an infobox or nav bar that has info inside expand boxes arranged by game or section or whatever. The reader clicks to expand the game/section they are interested in and ignores the rest. It works the same here, the reader clicks on the step they are stuck on and disregards the rest. Until maybe later if they get stuck again, they come back and click another one.
So that's my take on it. Does that address your concerns? --Sir Robin (talk) 11:15, 15 April 2025 (MDT)
