An unnamed stablemaster is the proprietor of the stables in Paws during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Like many merchants of the era, the stablemaster was a man with little to say outside of the concerns of his business. Being the only horse dealer in the realm, however, he often found himself the target of thieves, as Dyka of Vesper would reveal.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the alleged diaries of the Avatar discovered by historians Robert de Main and Carlotta Stein, it is the proprietor of the stables in Paws who is first to sell a horse to the Stranger: a small roan stallion known as Mysterious Moe.[2]
- In the Nintendo-port of Ultima IV, the stablemaster claims that all of his horses have died (in spite of one being visibly adjacent to him). This dialog was probably added in light of the game's lack of support for rideable horses.[3]
