• On the table in the Avatar's room in Castle Britannia.
• Sold by Rudyom in Cove for 50gp.
• Sold by Nicodemus near Yew for 45gp.
• Sold by Xiao at the Lycaeum for 60gp.
• Sold by Horance in Skara Brae for 50gp.

Ultima VII

Spellbooks may be found at the following locations in Ultima VII:

• Storage room on the roof of Castle Britannia.
• Chest in the dragon caves of dungeon Destard.
• Room of a dark mage in dungeon Hythloth at location two of the Throne of Change.

Ultima VII Part Two

Spellbooks may be found at the following locations in Ultima VII Part Two:

• The Avatar starts with one - does get lost.
• Gained from Fedabiblio in Moonshade after getting three fresh mandrake roots for him from Monk Isle.
• In the troll caves of Furnace - it's ruined and disintegrates when being used, hurting the Avatar.

Ultima IX

Spellbooks may be found at the following locations in Ultima IX:

• Stonegate, directly after the starting room (actually needed to get out of that very room).
