The Salty Dog is the sole tavern and inn in the hamlet of Paws in Ultima VII. It is run by Polly.
Description[edit]
Sometime during the two centuries between Ultima VI and Ultima VII, Dr. Cat left Paws and The Cat's Lair closed down. Eventually, The Salty Dog came to replace it. As Paws was a poor town by that time, The Salty Dog thus had the questionable honor of being one of the biggest enterprises in town, since even in the middle of poverty, people needed to eat and wanted social interaction. The tavern only opened around noon due to Polly running it all by herself.
