Sabrina is a mysterious woman who may be encountered in Serpent Isle’s Mountains of Freedom. She appears in Ultima VII Part Two.

Description[edit]

Sabrina was one of many enigmatic entities who could be encountered in the "slave pit" within the dungeon. She could be found in an enclosed chamber, sleeping on a stone bier with a leather whip nearby. When the Avatar woke her from her slumber, she asked the hero to "lead her to her nightmare."

Once she was brought to the nearby room in which such a beast could be found, she attempted to offer the animal a carrot, frightening it such that it awakened and called forth a bolt of lightening that instantly struck her dead. On Sabrina's remains, the Avatar could find a pronged key, which unlocked a chest in a nearby supply room containing a lengthy note to the keeper of the surreal menagerie. In it, the author cautions that Sabrina not be allowed near the magical stallion, mentioning that it fears her touch.[1]

Lore[edit]

Guard my nightmare and care for him well. He is a treasure and a daemon in one. Take him through the teleporter once each day and let him feel the grass beneath his hooves. Take care, for one strike of his hoof could kill an old fool such as thou. Be thou sure to keep Sabrina from him. I fear that she doth frighten him. I find it strange that such a wild, untamed creature such as that should be frightened of her touch. Then again, mayhaps I can fathom why.

Trivia[edit]

  • The Avatar may spare Sabrina's life and complete the lever room puzzle by creating carrots with the Create Food spell, or by stealing Sabrina's carrots with the Vibrate spell, thus avoiding Sabrina's fatal role in the puzzle.
