Rawstag is a troll with a interesting way to name strangers. He appears in Ultima Underworld and Ultima Underworld II.
Description[edit]
The Avatar first met Rawstag when the troll was still very young on the fourth level of the Abyss. Rawstag dubbed the Avatar "Rodriguez", a name that he insisted to use in the future. Rawstag needed to be bribed with a red gem (as hinted by Lakshi Longtooth), as he had a weakness for red gems, to open the door to a chamber where the writ of Lorne was, an artifact that the Knights of the Crux Ansata wanted the Avatar to recover in a quest.
After having left the Abyss, Rawstag grew up in a tribe of trolls and eventually even managed after many years to become their leader after having grown very strong. He again met his friend "Rodriguez" in the red treasure chamber of the Ethereal Void in his dreams. Rawstag was in paradise in that dream, with many red gems floating around and enjoyed telling the Avatar of how life had treated him, while offering some vampire bat meat.
