Several nameless prisoners may be found in the dungeons of Castle Britannia during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
These wretched souls would explain to the Stranger that they were imprisoned in payment for their crimes, denouncing their past deeds as evil things. They would ask if the hero walked the path of piracy, and react with scorn, if admitting to such an unvirtuous profession.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- According a document discovered by historians Robert de Main and Carlotta Stein which purports to be the Avatar's personal diary, such wretches were chained to the walls of the dungeon, able to do little more than acknowledge the hero's passing with a nod of their heads.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV, the prisoners are decidedly impenitent, offering no apology for their crimes and extolling the joys of violence.[3]
