Pepper is a warrior bard residing in Britain during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Described as a "spicy" woman, Pepper could be found near the arms dealers of the city, and would enigmatically hint to the Stranger that those of her profession were usually well-informed. After hearing a tip from the beggar, Sprite, the hero would seek out Pepper's advice as to finding the Rune of Compassion, which she would reveal lay at the end of a hallway somewhere within Britain.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the alleged journal of the Avatar discovered by historians Robert DeMain and Carlotta Stein, it is mentioned that Pepper was sensed to have been awaiting the hero, as if expectant that she would play a part in the quest.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Pepper can be identified as a ranger outside the healer's shop. She still gives the hint about the rune's location (now located at the foot of Britannia Manor's stairs).[3]
