Peg Leg Joe is a man who had lost one of his legs, therefore being forced to use a cane.

Description

Prior to Ultima IX, he was expelled to Paws (a slum for untouchables) according mayor Aidon's policy. However, being a cripple, Joe had learned how to use his cane as a weapon; a secret he was willing to share with the Avatar for a small donation.

Later, when mayor Aidon came to Paws in search of his daughter Meribeth, he was attacked by a giant rat, but was saved by Joe, who killed the rat with his cane. Being saved by the very same cripple his policies had declared undesirable, in part, lead Aidon to change his attitude about the poor and sick.

For increase the in-flow of money into Paws, Peg Leg offered his training in the second staff technique of the Vault Maneuver for 150 gold. He would also accept donations for the town.
