Pass guards patrol the halls of Empath Abbey during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
These women would do their best to reassure the Stranger that there was no danger in the Keep of Love, especially not compared to the perils of the subterranean altar rooms. They would go on to explain that once the riddles of these places were solved, the hero could obtain the Key of Three Parts needed to enter the chamber of the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), the passage guards can be identified with a single druid in the same location. She hints at the presence of a "great honor above", although the nearby staircase leads downstairs.[2]
