Meer

The Meer are an intelligence and sentient race of cat-like humanoids.

Ultima Online

The Meer were to be included as a playable race in Ultima Online 2. After the cancellation of the game, the race was included in the Ultima Online expansion, Third Dawn, where they inhabit the land of Ilshenar. In Ultima Online, the Meer race retreated to the Meer Catacombs to await the return of a great evil.

Since the great evil has passed, most Meer are now found in the city of Lakeshire.
