Lazeena the Dove is a bard in Britain in Ultima VI. She sings ballads of epic struggles.
Description[edit]
Lazeena is a young traveling bard who sang to the Avatar with a voice that sounded like wind through reeds and mostly in rhyme.[1] She originally hailed from the town of Cove, and according to Patrick, at some point Lazeena had received musical training at the Conservatory in Britain.[2][3] She sang to the hero about the mighty ship the Dutchman, which was caught up in a terrible storm and washed ashore on the Fens of the Dead.[4] She also sang of her love, Artegal, who set out to the Shrine of Compassion but never returned.[5] The Avatar could find Artegal recovering at the healers in Cove, mending from a battle with the gargoyles that had overrun the shrine.[6]
The Ultima 6 Project[edit]
This is an Ultima 6 Project-related NPC article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima VI or other Ultima games.
In The Ultima 6 Project, Lazeena told the hero that she and Artegal had been married in Cove just six months prior. He had sent her to Britain to be further from the Shrine of Compassion and the danger of Gargoyle assault. If the Avatar had met her husband recovering under the auspice of the healer Sasha, Lazeena would plead with the hero to escort her back to Cove. There, she would tend to the wounds of her stricken husband, and he would eventually make a full recovery.
Trivia[edit]
- During Lazeena's dialogue, Artegal's name is spelled "Artagel."[5]
