Krilner is a prisoner of the Pits of Carnage. He appears in Ultima Underworld II.

A weak and timid man, Krilner was ill-suited to life in the pits, and did his best to avoid the other prisoners of the colony. He had managed to survive his first and only fight in the arenas by swearing a vow to forever give his name to others as "Krilner the Coward" and had afterwards fled to a remote recess of the caverns.
When the Avatar arrived in the pits near Krilner's hiding spot, the desperate man begged the hero to take him on as a slave, hoping to thus garner some scant protection as somebody's property. Should the Avatar refuse, Krilner would attack before quickly surrendering and restating his suit, and would repeat this process until either the hero conceded or he lay dead.
Should the Avatar accept Krilner as a slave, the man would do his best to provide his new master with information about the world of the pits, and would speak at length about the crude rules of the underground society and how best to avoid a quick death there. If asked about the world's blackrock gem, Krilner would identify it as being in the possession of Dorstag, and would do his best to assist his new owner in obtaining it, suggesting that Zaria be slain and thus garner enough respect from Dorstag to be able to challenge him.[1]
