Homer is one of the ten pirates of Hawkins, and could be found in Buccaneer's Den in Ultima VI.
Description[edit]
Homer had served under the dreaded Captain Hawkins aboard the Empire, pillaging Britannia. At some point, the ship went down off the Cape of Heroes, and the crew mutinied, killing Hawkins. Homer denied any personal responsibility in this event, though. Homer later went to Buccaneer's Den, but lost a leg and had to settle down. Years later, the Avatar looked for the treasure map of Hawkins. Homer, wanting the storm cloak from the treasure, and agreed to help, after the Avatar became a member of the Guild of Thieves. He told the hero the name and fate of some of the former pirates, but had no idea what happened to all the former members of the crew.[1]
Homer gave the Avatar the last piece of the map after finding the first eight, and gave explicit instruction on the treasure location. Homer was pleased if the Avatar later returned with his storm cloak.
Runes of Virtue II[edit]
In Runes of Virtue II, Homer could still be found in Buccaneer's Den, and warned the hero to stay away from Davy's locker.

Trivia[edit]
- There is no penalty for never returning to Homer with the storm cloak. Indeed, the Avatar should keep it, since it is helpful for getting through dungeon Hythloth.
