Griffle is a human outcast who had been taken prisoner by Tyball. He appears in Ultima Underworld.
Description[edit]
The Avatar freed him from Tyball's prison on the the seventh level. Griffle told the Avatar how Tyball had forced them to mine for a strange mineral – which would be identified as Orb Rock – and how they had broken through the floor during their mining activities, reaching the level below. He continued to tell how then vicious beasts had killed most of the prisoners, and they had been locked in without anything to eat since then. The Avatar thus gave him some food, to return his strength.
Later, Garamon rescued him when the volcano erupted.
