Geoffrey (manga)

A fighter named Geoffrey [ジョフリー] appears in Yoko Tanaka's 1989 Ultima-inspired manga, Ultima: The Quest of the Avatar, although he bears little relation to the character featured in the game series.
Description[edit]
Geoffrey was a stubborn fighter who met Deane while seeking Avatarhood for himself along with his traveling companion, Shamino. A stubborn man, Geoffrey was determined to show his valor by never fleeing in the face of danger - an attitude which his partner claimed often landed the two of them in trouble. Often troubled by his companion's jibes about his age and general moral "flexibility," Geoffrey served as a counterpoint to the brash ranger, often arguing on the side of propriety when the roguish Shamino wished to bend the rules.

- The manga's dust jacket has a list of character statistics which lists Geoffrey as being thirty-two, although he claims to be twenty-eight in the comic itself.
