Gaye is a clothier in Britain during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
A superficially friendly woman, Gaye was proud of her business and spoke highly of the imported fabrics available at her store. A very devoted member of the Fellowship, the seamstress appeared to pour considerable effort into the group during her non-working hours. Such dedication, however, gave her some pause, as she worried that it would preclude her from dating Willy, a local baker who had no interest in joining the society.[1]
Should the Avatar be offered a chance to audition in Raymundo's production of The Trials of the Avatar at the Royal Theatre, the hero could consult Gaye to create the costume needed for the role. If hired for such a task, the tailor would mention that she had sold several such pieces already, quite possibly speaking to the growing trend of Avatar impostors such as Sullivan – who posed as the champion of legend that he might exploit the good will of others.[2]
Lore[edit]
“ | The costumes are fantastic! Naturally so, for Raymundo himself designed them. The dear man cannot sew a whit, though, and Gaye charged him 30 gold just to make the Avatar's costume! – from Key to the Black Gate (Ultima VII)
