Description[edit]
The sentries at Serpent's Hold's gates were huge hulking men, who ardently followed their duty to guard, watch and protect their castle. They would if ask the Stranger had come there to learn of the Principle of Courage and would welcome the hero for that purpose. Should the Stranger claim otherwise, they would jokingly say that the hero should become a guard.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (English localization), a gate guard can be identified as a ranger in the training room, who similarly asks the Companions if they had come there to learn Courage. A valiant answer would improve the virtues of Valor, Spirituality and Humility, but the wrong answer would reduce them.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), there is one more ranger in the same room. This character was removed in the English localization.
