Gallrot is the cook of Blackthorn's palace during the events of Ultima V.
Description[edit]
A fat and unfriendly man, it became clear when talking with him that Gallrot was a complete monster. He had nothing against killing children and cooking their remains for food for the inhabitants of the castle. However, Gallrot himself would not eat his own cooking and the Avatar would fall sick after ingesting it.[1]

A formerly kind and simple man, Blackthorn had taken him into the Black Company as their cook, where he had competently provided for the men of Blackthorn's militia. The current liege had prevented the other members of the company from taking advantage of his simplicity. After coming to Blackthorn's Palace, Gallrot had been twisted by the dark powers of the fortress, becoming angry and cruel, spending his days in the kitchen cursing the other members of the castle.[2] Provided with only horse meat and potatoes to cook with, Gallrot produced rather unpalatable rations for the other inhabitants.[3]
Asking about Foulwell’s murder of his nephew Jaek, Gallrot lamented that his nephew had just tried to stand up for his uncle, and he hoped to kill the jester, but was sure he would be missed so had to be careful.
