Farthaen is an archer in Bordermarch in Ultima V: Lazarus.
Originally from Britain, Fathaen stood on constant guard, protecting the people of Bordermarch, prepared to forewarn them in case of any danger. She admitted there were few visitors to the island, except for the sailors who supplied the desolate keep.[1]
She told the hero that she had formerly been a member of the Britain town guard, but had earned her place in the Resistance after killing a member of the Oppression. She was loathe to speak much more of the event, other than to state she did it to save her own life. Harboring little belief Lord British would return, she felt it best for the Resistance to bring the fight to Lord Blackthorn, but admitted she was not a tactician, and was content to follow her orders.
