Dayla is a young five year old ghost in Cove in Ultima IX.

The Avatar met Dayla at night haunting a large, burnt out old house. When she met the Avatar, she was surprised that an opaque person (the living appeared translucent to her) like the Avatar would talk to her, since most of the living were scared of her. Only the ghosts of dead adults ever talked to her. She told the Avatar how during the rioting that erupted after the appearance of the Guardian's columns she ran for safety in her bedroom, only to be overcome by smoke.[1]
When the Avatar encountered her, Dayla's current care was the return of her doll, previously stolen by the enthralled Julia. If it was returned to her, she disappeared, seemingly at peace.
