Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]
This is an Ultima V: Lazarus-related article or section. The information within may not apply to Ultima V or other Ultima games.
In Ultima V: Lazarus, Danfits was a cold and calculating man who, along with his duties as proprietor of The Guild, had a number of other business ventures, including a lending service. He had only a few months back decided to relocated from Britain, feeling that Blackthorn’s laws were too “restrictive” for his line of work, although he mentioned that in his line of business, there were always government regulations to overcome. Feeling the Avatar to be an adventurer, he was unwilling to lend the hero money, remarking that that profession tends to have a short lifespan.[1]
Danfits noted that he had lent 1000 gold to the Lord of Farthing, who had not yet repaid the debt, sighing as he concluded that he would have to pay for someone to assassinate the leader if he ever stepped within a mile of Paws. The Avatar can offer to repay Seggallion’s debt by either paying with funds on hand or collecting the fee from Seggallion.[2]
When asked about the name Sidle, Danfits name when he used to work as a high-class cutpurse, the businessman blandly told the Avatar how he was going to have to have someone assassinate Fagles some day if he kept talking about his past.[3] Deciding that the Avatar was too famous to simply eliminate, Danfits tried to buy the Avatar's silence with several gems, skull keys, and lockpicks.
