Chantu is the town healer of Trinsic in Ultima VII, running a practice at the end of Paladin's Path.
Description[edit]
Like most citizens of Trinsic, Chantu expressed shock at the murders of Christopher and Inamo, although he had little to offer that might help resolve the investigation.[1]
If queried about his views regarding the Fellowship, Chantu would indicate that the society and the healers of Britannia were not on amicable terms – given the Fellowship's rejection of traditional healing and magic. He personally thought of the Fellowship as foolish for their opinions regarding his profession, but did not feel enmity towards them, only annoyance.[2]

Trivia[edit]
- Chantu's feelings of conflict with the Fellowship regarding healing echo modern clashes between religious adherents and medicine, such as the Church of Scientology's rejection of psychiatry.
- If the Avatar wears a Fellowship medallion, Chantu will notice it after stating his opinion about the Fellowship, and apologizes.
