Catriona is a guard working at the Lycaeum during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
The strong Catriona stood watch over the Keep of Truth's treasure chamber, and would explain that the gold therein was of considerable worth. She would ask if the Stranger intended to steal such riches, and would blithely claim that she would not resist such an attempt.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- A Seanna Catriona de Fraser is listed as the founding baroness of the Society for Creative Anachronism's barony of Bryn Gwalad in Ansteorra, the same region where Richard Garriott has been known to participate in his persona of Shamino Sallé Dacil. It is also in this locality that a Robert Simon Fraser appears, and it is known that this personage lent his name to the castellan of the Lycaeum.[2]
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Catriona can be identified with the paladin in the room just south of the treasury. She erroneously states that Honor derives from Love and Courage.[3]
